Do a search on 'install windows 7 on b360 motherboard'. In my opinion, there are 2 issues, installation and sub-optimal drivers. Installing win7 off of a usb drive requires usb 3.0 drivers, which are not included in the win7 iso. Gigabyte use to have a bootable usb drive builder to slipsteam in the usb drivers in with the iso.

About Chipset Drivers:
Windows OS automatically installs a generic driver that allows computers to recognize basic motherboard functions. However, to make use of all board components, appropriate chipset drivers must be applied.
If you install this package, the system will receive related information regarding the chipset. Also, this step might improve compatibility and bus transfer speeds, add various changes for sleep state behavior, power saving functionality and others, or include support for new features.
To apply this release, simply make sure your system configuration is supported by this package, get the file, run the available setup, and follow the on-screen instructions. Bear in mind that installing inappropriate chipset drivers can cause computers to malfunction.
In addition to that, do perform a system restart after you have completely applied the present release so that all changes take effect. Despite the off-chance that other OSes might be compatible, we do not recommend installing any software on platforms other than the highlighted ones.
That being said, check the supported platforms, click the download button and apply the chipset driver. Moreover, don’t forget to check with our website as often as possible to stay up to date with the latest releases.

Pros: Lots of features for the $. 4 RAM slots. Displayport, HDMI, DVI & VGA video ports!
Cons: If running BIOS prior to 12b these boards tend to suffer from BSOD's running Windows 10 v1803+. Make sure that you update to the latest.
When you update the BIOS it will wipe your settings.
Latest BIOS settings (12b) don't work to turn off or change color on LED board light.
Other Thoughts: M2 slot design is a little odd when inserting compared to most others. Be sure to inset at a very shallow angle. Works good though and will accept the longest M2 cards.
Pros: - Good Quality
Cons: - Not a fan of the Gigabyte Bios
Pros: - Premium build quality
- Ram overclocking features
- Can stop fans when under user determined temperatures
- Great with i5-8600
- 6 sata ports + 1 NVME SSD slot
- Nice cool heatsinks over parts that might of gotten too hot
Cons: - Few bios update qwerks, last bios F10 won't install. Altough F6 works fine.
- Turbo boost seems to be locked in at 4.1ghz minimum when in windows 'perfomance mode' and disabled when in 'balanced mode'.
- No PCIE mini ports ( had to buy a new wifi/bluetooth peripheral )
Other Thoughts: Installed it myself, great experience, booted on a hard drive that already had my windows 10 installed on another board manufacturer and had no problem booting 1st time.
Pros: - Has a VRM heatsink, this was the cheapest model that had a VRM heatsink. Some CPU models like the i7-8700 and i5-8600 will throttle due to high temperatures without a VRM heatsink.
-Has 2 PCIE x16 slots, (However in crossfire, it will reduce the PCIE lanes)
- 4 RAM Slots , most cheaper models only have 2.
- Nice Orange lighting on the side
- Has RGB headers
- Supports 4 fans (1 CPU fan + 3 PWM fans) (Most cheaper models only have 1 like the Gigabyte B360M DS3H)
-Price
Cons: - Only is a 4+2 phase, which is fine since this is not an overclocking motherboard
- BIOS/UEFI is a little bit finicky
- M9i cooler was a bit hard to install, but got it to fit eventually.
Other Thoughts: - Good price to performance product. To sum it all up, it has 4 ram slots, vrm heatsinks and a good amount of fan headers. Overall, would recommend it to a friend.
Pros: USB 3.1 Gen 2
Cons: seriously bios problems
and bootlloops
Other Thoughts: Not proposed, I will replace it

GIGABYTE VIP Support Team
Pros: -Well made and laid out
-Good rear I/O
-4 PWM headers (Including CPU fan)
-M.2 supports Sata, NVME and Intel Optane
Cons: -USB type C connector is 3.1 gen1 aka 3.0, not gen2. The type A port above it is however 3.1 gen2
-Bottom PCIe slot is only x4 (This is an issue with the lack of PCIe lanes on Intel CPUs. Not the motherboards fault)
Other Thoughts: This is an awesome little board for it's price especially if you don't plan on doing any overclocking.
Just pair it with a non K sku CPU and a mid range GPU and you'll have a nice gaming system.
Don't forget to download the Intel chipset and LAN drivers from Gigabytes website.
Pros: Sorta works
Cons: Powers back on by its self after shutting down occasionally.
Presented inconsistent freezing issues on a fresh windows install.
Won't remember boot priority or csm setting and sometimes won't see any sata drives at all.
Other Thoughts: cmos battery was fine so this is a bios issue.
I ordered 2 of these for two separate systems and both have various issues.
This boards Bios needs some serious work.
I will have to replace both boards with one that has a more mature bios.
Pros: m2. connector
real 7.1 audio
Intel lan
Price
Cons: no rgb haha
no motherboard manual.(easily available online)
no overlocking
Other Thoughts: Finally intel released cheaper boards for 8th gen cpus. Made the choice vs ryzen easy. Great board for budget builds. Paired it with a i3 8100. Booted up no problem. Very little bios options with no overlocking.(knew this when I bought it) So if you ever plan to upgrade to k model cpus I'd suggest going z370.
